The rather mixed weather continues today. In parts of the west there will be outbreaks of rain, but elsewhere it remains fine. In the coming days temperatures are set to rise steadily, and next week values could reach 27°C as the warmest spell of the year so far develops.

Outbreaks of rain will continue throughout the day in Northern Ireland and at times they extend into western Britain. Central and eastern areas remain dry, and in sunny spells it will feel pleasant.

Tonight the outbreaks of rain in the west will become patchier, and by morning they are likely to be affecting western Britain and Scotland. Drier conditions are expected in Northern Ireland, as well as central and eastern England.
Tomorrow showery rain will gradually push eastwards into central areas, and there could be a few heavy bursts mixed in. Other areas will have a dry day, and in sunny spells it will become quite warm.

On Sunday wet conditions will push across the far northwest of the UK. Other areas are expected to have a dry and warm day, with temperatures possibly reaching 23°C in central and eastern counties.
Monday is likely to be fine across most of the UK, although some rain is possible in western Scotland. It will be warm, with temperatures widely climbing into the low 20s°C.
The fine weather is forecast to continue across much of the UK during the middle of the week. Temperatures edge upwards, and it may turn very warm with values potentially close to 27°C.
