Many places remain dry today, but outbreaks of rain will start pushing into the west this afternoon. Tonight and tomorrow the wet conditions clear southeastwards. The next few days are looking mixed, but there are indications of high pressure becoming more influential later in the week.

After a dry start a few showers will develop, but in much of Britain it remains dry and bright. In Northern Ireland cloud builds and heavy outbreaks of rain spread eastwards this afternoon. By the early evening they are likely to be reaching Wales and south western England.

Tonight heavy outbreaks of rain push southeastwards across England and Wales. By the morning they are likely to be affecting central, eastern and south eastern counties. Dry conditions with clear periods follow to their north and west.
Tomorrow the rain clears southeastwards to leave bright conditions. Most of the UK will then be dry, although scattered showers may develop in places and they could become heavy.

The next few days are now looking quite mixed. On Thursday outbreaks of rain may push into the north west, but in other areas it should be dry and bright. The risk rain becomes more widespread on Friday, with the wettest conditions likely in the north and west. Central and eastern counties of England could stay mostly dry.
At this stage there are indications of high pressure becoming more dominant at the weekend. In southern and central regions it should be mostly dry, but in the north and especially the north west there is a greater risk of rain.
