Outbreaks of rain in Scotland will steadily peter out today, leaving dry conditions in most of the UK. Rather changeable weather is expected to continue through the Easter period. Despite that, it doesn't look like being a washout and away from the west rainfall amounts may well be small.

Tonight the remnants of the rain clear from Scotland, leaving dry conditions. However, outbreaks of rain will push into southwestern England, Wales and Northern Ireland, where they may turn heavy.

Tomorrow outbreaks of rain affect western parts of the UK. They will be patchy but some heavy bursts are likely, particularly in Northern Ireland and southwestern England later on. Central and eastern counties should stay mostly dry. It will be quite windy in southern and central areas.
