Outbreaks of rain in Scotland will steadily peter out today, leaving dry conditions in most of the UK. Rather changeable weather is expected to continue through the Easter period. Despite that, it doesn't look like being a washout and away from the west rainfall amounts may well be small.

Outbreaks of rain in Scotland steadily push northwards and become lighter. The rest of the UK will be mostly dry with sunny spells, although a few showers are likely to develop.
Temperatures range from 9°C in the north to 18°C in the south east. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight the remnants of the rain clear from Scotland, leaving dry conditions. However, outbreaks of rain will push into southwestern England, Wales and Northern Ireland, where they may turn heavy.
Tomorrow outbreaks of rain affect western parts of the UK. They will be patchy but some heavy bursts are likely, particularly in Northern Ireland and southwestern England later on. Central and eastern counties should stay mostly dry. It will be quite windy in southern and central areas.

The Easter period is expected to be quite mixed. On Saturday wet weather could develop in the south, particularly the southwest. Elsewhere it should be mostly dry.
Easter Sunday is now looking mainly dry, although there could be some patchy rain in the south and Northern Ireland.
Showery spells of rain may become more widespread on Bank Holiday Monday.
