The weather will remain changeable during the coming days, but the forecast details for the Easter period are still uncertain. Some recent computer model runs have shown high pressure having more influence than previously expected. If that turns out to be the case longer dry periods could develop.

The Easter period is looking mixed. On Good Friday, outbreaks of rain are expected to spread northwards across western Britain and Northern Ireland. Central and eastern areas will probably remain mostly dry, although there is some uncertainty about this.
The prospects for the weekend and Bank Holiday Monday remain uncertain. Recent computer model runs suggest the possibility of longer dry periods than had previously seemed likely. Nonetheless some rain is expected, with the wettest conditions probably in the west.
