Outbreaks of rain turn heavier in Northern Ireland and Scotland today, while England and Wales remain dry. Tonight and tomorrow the band of rain will clear southeastwards, followed by cooler and showery conditions. However, temperatures will start to recover by Sunday and it could be quite warm early next week.

Patchy outbreaks of rain in Scotland and Northern Ireland will steadily become heavier from the west through the day. However, they won’t make much progress southeastwards, leaving England and Wales dry. The brightest conditions are likely to be in central and eastern counties.
Temperatures range from 10°C in the north west to 18°C in eastern England. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight, heavy outbreaks of rain in the north push southeastwards. They fragment and become patchier, reaching much of southern and central England by morning. Colder, showery conditions will follow behind.
Tomorrow, the band of rain will steadily clear southeastwards. All regions then have sunny spells and showers, most frequent in the north and west. Over high ground in northern Britain sleet or snow is possible. Temperatures will be lower than today’s.

During Saturday outbreaks of rain will affect northern and western areas. Central and eastern England should remain mostly dry. Sunday looks dry, sunny and pleasantly warm in much of the UK. The fine conditions continue into early next week and it is likely to be warm for the time of the year.
