The coming week is expected to bring plenty of dry weather to southern and central regions. In the north and west wet periods will be more frequent. Temperatures will often be close to or above the late March average

Wet in the north west of the UK

England and Wales have a dry day with sunny spells and variable amounts of cloud. In Scotland and Northern Ireland it starts dry as well, but patchy outbreaks of rain will spread eastward. In western Scotland they may turn heavy at times.

Temperatures range from 8°C in the north to 15°C in the south. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight, patchy spells of rain spread southeastward across the northern half of the UK. In southern and central regions it  remains dry.

Tomorrow, cloud and light rain move down into southern England, possibly lingering in the far southeast until late in the day. To the north it will be dry, with sunny spells developing quite widely.

Rain in the north

During Wednesday and Thursday it remains mostly dry in southern counties. In the north and west there will be patchy outbreaks of rain, which could at times turn quite heavy. Temperatures will be similar to recent days.
