Virtually the whole of the UK remains dry today, and there won't be much change over the next couple of days. However, by the middle of the coming week temperatures will rise as a southwesterly wind develops. That also heralds the start of a transition to more unsettled conditions, with the risk of showers or longer spells of rain steadily returning to all areas. (If you would like to browse the website without adverts and access premium features, see below)

14 day video weather forecast

Dry with variable amounts of cloud

An odd shower is likely to pop up today, but virtually the whole of the UK will be dry. Cloud amounts vary and sunny spells are likely to be at more of a premium than they were yesterday. Nonetheless, there should be a reasonable amount of brightness.

Temperatures will be a little higher than in recent days, ranging from 7°C in the north to 10°C in the south. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight it remains dry. Clear spells lead to frost developing in places, especially northern and western areas. Quite breezy in the south.

Tomorrow it's a very similar picture. In cloudy periods it will feel chilly, particularly in the south where there will be a keen easterly wind.

More unsettled later in the week

During Tuesday and Wednesday it remains dry. Daytime temperatures begin to climb, but the nights will stay cold and the risk of frost remains. Later in the week it begins to turn more unsettled as areas of low pressure to the southwest begin to exert more influence.  By next weekend heavier showers and outbreaks of rain could be affecting much of the UK.
