Tonight, showery rain continues in the far north. Generally there will be more cloud in the north of the UK, so the greatest risk of frost is in southern and central areas. Temperatures could dip to -5°C locally in the south.

Tomorrow, scattered showers return again but many places remain dry. Sunny intervals are likely, but there will be more cloud than today. Temperatures continue to edge upwards.

Warming up next week

The early part of next week brings little change. Scattered showers are possible, but the emphasis remains on dry conditions with bright periods. On Monday and Tuesday temperatures stay similar to the weekend and frost continues to be a risk. By Wednesday it is expected to start turning warmer in southern and central regions.
