Today will be dry and chilly in much of the UK, but wet conditions push across Northern Ireland and into Scotland later on. Tomorrow heavy outbreaks of rain spread into the west and it becomes very windy. With the weather remaining unsettled into the weekend it is very possible that the next named storm, Darragh, could be making an appearance. UK Met UKV, Tuesday 3rd December November [Tap animation to toggle cities]
Tonight the band of precipitation fades away as it pushes into central counties. Clear spells to its south and north allow frost to develop by the morning.
Tomorrow it starts dry in all areas; however, wet and windy weather pushes into Northern Ireland during the afternoon. By the early evening it is expected to reach western Britain and over the Scottish mountains it could be preceded by a spell of snow. Gales are possible in northern and western counties.
UK Met UKV, Wednesday 4th December [Tap animation to toggle cities]
Wet and windy conditions clear early on Thursday to leave a mix of sunny spells and showers. Thursday starts mostly dry, but another batch of rain and strong winds moves in from the west. In the east it probably stays dry until the evening. During Saturday the rain pulls away eastwards and colder air filters down from the north. Showers in the north turn increasingly wintry.
