High pressure is expected to dominate the UK's weather this week. As a result, It will be mostly dry, although the risk of rain is greater at times in the north west. Temperatures to a large extent will depend on cloud cover, but there is the potential for unseasonably mild conditions. There will be some day to day variation during the coming week, but the main feature of the weather in most of the UK will be the dry and settled conditions. Today there will be a lot of cloud and in places it will be thick enough to produce drizzle. The best chance of sunny spells is in northern Scotland and East Anglia and the south eastern corner this afternoon.

Tonight it remains dry in most areas and patchy fog develops. It will be mild, with temperatures not falling into single figures in places.
Tomorrow brings a repeat performance. Cloud amounts vary, but sunny spells are likely in places. Temperatures will be similar to today's.

The next few days see very little change taking place. High pressure is forecast to remain the dominant feature of the weather. through the rest of the week, therefore it will be dry in much of the UK. However, in the north west more of an Atlantic influence is expected to bring a risk of rain at times. Temperatures will depend on cloud amounts to a large extent. Clearer skies mean warmer days but colder nights.
