High pressure will bring dry weather to most of the UK today and tomorrow. Later in the week a band of rain weakens as it moves southwards, but it will introduce cooler air for a time. The predominantly settled period is expected to continue through the first third of November, although there is a chance of more changeable interludes, particularly in the north. Computer models are showing high pressure dominating the weather through the next two weeks, with amounts of rain being well below average. Today, virtually the whole of the UK will be dry, though in the far north and west of Scotland there will be some patchy spells of rain. Cloud amounts will vary and there should be more brightness than in recent days.
Temperatures range from 11°C in the north to 17°C in the south west. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

UK Met UKV, Thursday 31st October [Tap animation to toggle cities]
During Friday and Saturday a weakening band of rain moves southwards and introduces cooler air for a time. Amounts of rain in southern and central Britain remain very small. However, Sunday could start on a much chillier note than recently in the south, with a touch of ground frost in places. The early part of next week sees the settled spell continuing in most of the UK, the exception could be the north west where there is a greater risk of rain.
