A widespread ground frost develop and in places temperatures will fall below freezing point.

UK Met UKV, Friday 11th October [Tap animation to toggle cities]
A ridge of high pressure building in from the west brings dry conditions on Sunday. Frost may be widespread in southern and central regions early on and temperatures struggle through the day.
During the early part of next week high pressure becomes centred to the east. It leads to a south or southeasterly flow, so temperatures will be rising. Initially a lot of dry weather is likely, but the risk of rain steadily increases.
