Showery spells of rain affect parts of the UK today and temperatures will be dipping in the north. Tomorrow the a plunge of Arctic air will be pushing down into southern counties so it will be feeling colder everywhere. Chilly conditions then continue, with a risk of snow over the Scottish mountains and frost becoming widespread for a time.(If you would like to browse the website without adverts and access premium features, see below)

The weather remains quite mixed across the UK today with an area of low pressure only gradually pulling away eastwards. This morning most of the showery rain will be in northern England and eastern counties. This afternoon the risk of rain increasingly becomes focused on the north east, with drier conditions developing elsewhere. Quite windy, especially in Scottish coastal counties.
Temperatures range from 7°C in the far north to 17°C in the south. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight a band of patchy rain pushes down into southern counties. Clear periods in the north allow temperatures to fall sharply and in sheltered areas a touch of frost develops.
Tomorrow outbreaks of rain in the south slowly clear, but even in the late afternoon they are likely to be lingering in the south eastern corner. The rest of the UK has sunny spells and scattered showers which could be wintry over high ground in Scotland. Cold.

During Friday and Saturday showers or longer spells of rain continue to affect the northern half of the UK. Over the Scottish hills there could be significant snowfall. Southern and central areas of Britain remain mostly dry and bright.
Sunday is looking dry in most of the UK as pressure builds. The day is likely to begin with quite a widespread frost and temperatures will remain on the low side.
