High pressure will hold on to keep much of the UK dry again today. However, patchy outbreaks of rain spread northeastwards tonight and more unsettled weather will develop in the coming days. A very wet and windy spell is possible by the middle of next week. (If you would like to browse the website without adverts and access premium features, see below)

Tonight showery spells of rain push across Northern Ireland and south western Britain. By the morning they could reach central areas, but in the north and east it remains dry.
Tomorrow patchy outbreaks of rain push northwards across the UK. Drier conditions follow, but through the afternoon an area of heavy rain moves up from the southwest. By the late afternoon it is likely to be affecting much of Wales and southern England. Temperatures similar to today's.

The next few days bring mixed weather. Showers or longer spells of rain are possible in all regions, but there should be dry and bright periods too. A southwesterly flow means temperatures will be higher than recently.
Through the middle part of next week deep areas of low pressure push in from the Atlantic. Wednesday needs watching closely because there is the potential for stormy conditions to develop in the southern half of the UK. However, at this stage it is a minority of computer model runs that are showing severe conditions. In the north it is expected to be turning colder.
