The week ahead will bring a lot of fine and increasingly warm weather. Temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday are likely to reach the mid 20Cs. Does this count as an Indian summer? A definition widely used is a warm and fine period occurring after the first widespread frost. Last week there were some notably cold nights, with ground frost being widespread even in the south. So yes, this could be an Indian Summer, at least if you think autumn started on 1st September!
