The weekend brings mixed weather. In the north there will be outbreaks of rain at times today, and tomorrow they push down into central areas, with the south remaining dry. Next week see high pressure building northwards across the UK, leading to mostly fine and quite warm conditions. Patchy outbreaks of rain in the northern half of Britain fade away this morning to leave dry conditions in all areas. However, this afternoon cloud and rain push into the north west of the UK, but in England and Wales it remains dry and bright. Windy in the north and particularly the north west where gales are likely in coastal counties.
After a cold start, temperatures range from 13°C in northern Scotland to 19°C in central and southern England this afternoon. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight, patchy outbreaks of rain push southwards, reaching northern England and northern Wales by the morning. Showers follow to their north, but to their south it stays dry with clear periods.
Tomorrow, the area of rain only slowly edges southwards. By the late afternoon it is expected to be affecting Wales, as well as south west and central England, with the south east remaining dry. Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland have sunny spells and scattered showers. Feeling quite warm in the central and eastern counties.

The following few days are looking mostly dry as high pressure build northwards across the UK. Temperatures steadily rise and there is the potential for it to become warm or even very warm for the time of the year. However, with the lengthening nights, there is the potential for mist and fog to form in places.
