After a cold start with quite a widespread ground frost most places have a dry day. However, outbreaks of rain will begin pushing into Northern Ireland this afternoon. The next few days bring a split in the weather across the UK, with the north having rain at times but the south staying mostly dry. Most of the UK remains dry with bright spells today. However, there will be scattered showers in northern Britain, and later this afternoon outbreaks of rain start reaching Northern Ireland. Lighter winds make it feel warmer than recently.
After a cold start, temperatures range from 11°C in northern Scotland to 17°C in central and southern England this afternoon. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight, patchy outbreaks of rain spread across Northern Ireland and Scotland. In western areas they could be heavy at times. England and Wales have a dry night and it will be chilly in the south.
Tomorrow, England and Wales remain dry, but cloud builds from the west. In Scotland, outbreaks rain in the morning ease to leave damp conditions. In the afternoon another band of rain pushes across the north west of the UK. Windy in the north and west.

The following few days are looking mostly dry in the south and in sunny spells it will start to feel quite warm. Central and northern areas have more changeable conditions with a risk of rain at times, at least initially. However, by Tuesday high pressure is likely to build northwards to bring increasingly settled weather to all areas.
