Heavy outbreaks of rain spread westwards across parts of the south today. There is some uncertainty about the extent of the rain risk, but the northern half of the UK is expected to remain dry and bright. The south is likely to have further rain in the coming days. Patchy spells of rain affect north eastern Britain through the course of the day. In the rest of the northern half of the UK it will be dry with sunny periods. Southern and central regions have a lot of cloud, and there will be heavy outbreaks of rain pushing westwards. Their northern extent is likely to be south Wales, but there is still some uncertainty.
Temperatures range from 14°C in the north east to 22°C in East Anglia. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight, the rain in the south and north east is likely to ease. Other areas remain dry with variable amounts of cloud.
Tomorrow, further heavy showers or longer outbreaks of rain push across parts of the south. The wettest conditions may well be to the south and west of London. Areas further north should be mostly dry, bright and warm or very warm.

Mixed weather continues through the next few days. Showers or longer spells of rain remain a risk in the south, and possibly more widely at times during the weekend. However, in sunny spells it will be rather warm.
