Patchy rain in southern and central regions steadily clears to leave dry conditions in most of the UK. It will be cooler than in recent days. Tomorrow, a band of heavy rain in the north slowly pushes southwards. Light outbreaks of rain in southern and central regions fade away through the morning and in the afternoon bright spells develop. Elsewhere, there will be sunny periods, but cloud and patchy spells of rain push into western Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Temperatures range from 16°C in the far north west to 25°C in East Anglia and the south east. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight, more persistent outbreaks of rain push southeastwards across Scotland Northern Ireland. Showery rain could also extend into north western England and Wales. Areas to the south and east remain dry.
Tomorrow, the band of rain only slowly edges southeastwards. By the late afternoon it is likely to be stretching from the south west, over Wales and into northern England. Brighter and fresher conditions follow to its north and west, whilst to its south and east it will be warm and muggy.

Rain clears from the southeast on Friday morning, leaving dry conditions across the UK. In the north it will be windy with a risk of rain. The weekend may be mostly dry and quite warm, but it could turn wet at times in the north west. Early next temperatures could see climb again.
