Sunday is expected to be dry in all areas and it will become very warm in the southern half of the UK. Tomorrow is likely to be the hottest day of the year so far with temperatures peaking at 34°C or even 35°C. High humidity levels will accompany the heat, creating uncomfortable conditions. Dry weather is expected across the UK today. Cloud amounts vary, but bright periods develop widely and it will feel very warm in the sun.
Temperatures range from 18°C in the far north west to 29°C in locally in the south. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight, outbreaks of rain push northeastwards across Northern Ireland and Scotland. In England and Wales it remains dry and very muggy.
Tomorrow, rain in Scotland steadily clears eastwards, but it may remain wet in the east until the late afternoon. The rest of the UK has a fine day and there is the potential for it to be the hottest day of the year so far. Temperatures could reach 34°C in one or two locations, with values reaching or exceeding 30°C quite widely in England.

Temperatures will be dipping from Tuesday onwards, although it is likely to still be quite warm in southern and central regions. There is a risk of thundery downpours or longer spells of rain, mostly in the north and west. In southern and eastern counties amounts of rain are likely to remain small on the whole, although the risk of a few thunderstorms in there areas isn't discounted.
