The weekend is looking dry in much of the UK, but there will be some patchy rain in the north west. Temperatures follow the trend of recent days. Early next week high pressure keeps the mostly dry theme in place. Friday starts dry across virtually the whole of the UK, but it is damp in the far north west. It is chilly in areas where there have been clear periods overnight.
Through the day there is a risk of light rain or drizzle in northern and western Scotland. Other parts of the UK have another dry day with variable amounts of cloud. In sunny spells it will be quite warm.
Temperatures range from 12C (54F) in the north west to 21C (70F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight it remains damp in the north west. Other parts of the UK will be dry with variable amounts of cloud.
Tomorrow there is a risk of light rain in Scotland and possibly Northern Ireland. England and Wales remain dry, bright and rather warm.
The settled theme continues on Sunday. Once again cloud amounts vary and temperatures will be dependent on how long the sun shines for. Nonetheless, the general trend is for the highest temperatures to be in the south and west.
The first half of next week sees high pressure continuing to dominate the UK's weather. However, there is a relatively low chance of more showery conditions developing in the south as low pressure edges up from the continent.
