Central and northern counties have a mix of sunny spells and showers today. In the south longer outbreaks of rain push eastwards this afternoon. Through the next couple of days it's a showery picture and temperatures remain at similar values to recently. However, colder air pushes southwards through Sunday and the early part of next week. Tonight the rain in the south clears eastwards to leave dry conditions. In the north a band of showery rain pushes northeastwards and over the Scottish mountains snow is possible. Windy in England and Wales.
Tomorrow the area of rain in the north steadily moves away, although it may linger in the far north of Scotland into the afternoon. Elsewhere there will be sunny spells, but showers develop and in places they turn heavy. Windy, particularly in southern Britain.
The showery continues on Saturday. In Scotland it may be cold enough for sleet or snow to fall down to quite low levels. Temperatures in southern and central regions remain close to or slightly above the average.
During Sunday a band of showery rain clears southwards. It is followed by colder and brighter weather, but in Scotland and north eastern England sleet or snow showers may become heavy. Southern and central regions have sunny spells and scattered showers. Over high ground in Wales they could turn wintry.
Monday is looking cold and bright in much of the UK. However, wintry showers are likely close to the east coast. There is also a risk of longer spells of rain, sleet and snow pushing into Scotland through the day.
Breezy but nice afternoon. Posted by toppiker60 weather camera and image uploader to send your pics.
