Outbreaks of rain push into Northern Ireland and parts of western Britain this afternoon, but elsewhere it remains dry. However, the unsettled theme is set to continue through the coming week with all areas having showers or longer spells of rain. It will also be windy at times. Sunday starts with a few wintry showers in Scotland. Elsewhere it is dry and in parts of the north there has been a frost.
Through the day it stays dry in most of Britain. However, heavy outbreaks of rain push across Northern Ireland and this afternoon they edge into western Scotland, north western England and possibly western Wales. It also turns cloudier in central and eastern counties.
Temperatures range from 5C (41F) in northern Scotland to 13C (55F) in England. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight much of the UK has outbreaks of rain. Rather cold in Scotland but mild elsewhere.
Tomorrow will see the unsettled period continuing. An area of heavy rain pushes northeastwards across the northern half of the UK. To its south there will be patchy spells of rain and in the afternoon they become heavier in the west. Mild and rather windy.
Tuesday begins with outbreaks of rain in the north. They clear quite quickly to leave a mix of sunny spells and and showers in all areas. However, another area of wet weather pushes into the west of the UK later in the day. Mild.
Wednesday starts wet in the south east, but the rain should clear to leave all areas with a mix of sunny spells and showers. The showers turn heavy and in Scotland they may fall as sleet or snow over the hills. Chilly in the north.
Thursday is looking unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain pushing eastwards. It could be windy in the southern half of the UK and in the north there is a risk of sleet or snow over high ground.
