Wet weather continues to be a risk today in the south east. Other parts of the UK have sunny spells, but in the west there will be showers. Through the next few days a change starts to take place as high pressure builds over Scandinavia. It brings more settled conditions and temperatures start to drop. During the second half of the week forecast details start to become more uncertain.
Sunday starts wet in parts of the south east and East Anglia. In much of the rest of the UK it is dry, although there are showers in the far north west.
Through the day there is an ongoing risk of rain in the south east and East Anglia. Some heavier bursts are possible at times. There will be showers in western Britain too, but other areas stay mainly dry and bright intervals develop. Windy in the west and north.
Mild. Temperatures range from 8C (46F) in the north to 13C (55F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.
Tonight wet weather clears eastwards. Showers feed into the north west, but elsewhere it will turn dry.
Tomorrow brings sunny spells but there will be showers in the south and west. Temperatures a little lower than in recent days.
Tuesday is currently looking dry and bright in most of the UK, although there is a risk of rain pushing into the south west by the evening. Temperatures close to the average.
Wednesday is expected to be dry in the bulk of the UK. However, outbreaks of rain could flirt with the far north west and thicker cloud may bring an odd light shower to eastern counties.
Through the second half of the week high forecast confidence falls. Disturbances try to push in from west, but high pressure centred to the northeast may block their progress. As a consequence, wet and windy spells are most probable in the west. Areas further east are more to be chilly and mostly dry, although there could be some light rain at times. Later on it could begin to turn more unsettled in the south.
