[Updated 08:00 20/05/2022]

Fine weather in Salcombe. Posted by brian gaze

Outbreaks of rain in southern and eastern England steadily clear this morning to leave a mix of sunshine and showers in all regions. The weekend is looking mixed with the driest and warmest weather mostly in eastern England. Unsettled probably sums up next week.

Friday starts with outbreaks of rain in some southern and central counties. There are also showers in the far north west.

This morning the rain turns heavy in East Anglia and the south east before clearing away. Showers continue in the north west and through the afternoon they spread eastwards across all areas. There will be sunny spells too, with the best of them probably in the south west and southern Wales.

Temperatures range from 13C (55F) to 18C (64F). See the rain radar for the latest view.

Monday is looking mixed. Showers probably form widely and in places there could be longer periods of rain. Rather cool generally.

The showery theme continues on Tuesday. Temperatures will probably be close to the seasonal norm.
