Changeable outlook

During Sunday morning showery outbreaks of rain affect much of England and Wales. Over high ground in the north they could fall as sleet or snow. Through the afternoon the wet weather increasingly becomes confined to eastern counties. Scotland and Northern Ireland should be mostly dry and bright. Cold.

Through the early part of next week changeable weather continues. All regions can expect dry periods but there will be showers or longer spells of rain too. Temperatures fluctuate and at times it will be quite cold. Sleet or snow remains possible over high ground in the north.
