Outbreaks of rain push across parts of the north and west today. To the south and east it stays dry with warm sunny spells. Mixed weather continues this weekend and there is a risk of heavy rain in places. Through the first half of next week high pressure builds and it becomes mostly dry.

Friday starts wet in Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland. Elsewhere it is dry but quite murky. Through the day outbreaks of rain mostly affect the north west of the UK. However, some could push into the eastern half of Scotland and south western Britain. In other areas sunny spells develop and it feels pleasantly warm.
Temperatures range from 14C (57F) in the north west to 23C (73F) in the south east. See the rain and lightning radar for the latest view.
Tonight outbreaks of rain continue in northern and western Britain, but they become increasingly patchy. To the north west and south east it stays dry with clear periods. Quite muggy in the south east.

Tomorrow looks quite mixed. Cloudy skies bring patchy rain to parts of northern England and eastern Scotland. To the south and east scattered showers develop and a few could be heavy in the south west. The north west of the UK should stay mostly dry, although it could turn wet in Northern Ireland. Warm in central and eastern England.
During Sunday a band of rain pushes eastwards and there could be some heavy bursts mixed in. Showery conditions follow into Northern Ireland and western Britain. It could still be warm in East Anglia but temperatures will generally be lower than in recent days.
Through Monday a band of showery rain probably spreads westwards. In southern and central regions it could turn heavy.
Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be mostly dry; however, there is a risk of rain in the north west. Temperatures generally close to the seasonal average.
