Mixed outlook

During Thursday showery outbreaks of rain affect much of the UK. In places they could be heavy and prolonged. Generally cool.

Friday brings a mix of sunny intervals and showers to southern and central regions. In the north there is a risk of longer periods of rain. Remaining rather cool, although it should feel pleasantly warm in sunny spells.

Unsettled weather continues through the weekend. All regions can expect further showers or longer spells of rain. There will be drier and brighter periods too, with the best of them probably on Sunday. Temperatures stay below the seasonal average.
