The weather remains very mild during the coming days, but there will be heavy rain in the north and west. Tomorrow temperatures could reach an exceptional 18C (64F) locally in the southern half of the UK. By the weekend high pressure will be building northwards and bringing increasingly settled weather.

Tuesday starts with outbreaks of rain in parts of western parts of the UK. Central and eastern areas are mostly dry. Through the day heavy rain affects much of the north and west. Areas to the south and east remain dry and there should be some bright intervals. It will be very windy, particularly in western and north western coastal counties where severe gales are possible.
Temperatures range from 8C (46F) in northern Scotland to 14C (57F) in southern England.
Tonight rain in northern and western areas gradually pushes a little further southeastwards. Showery conditions return to Northern Ireland and Scotland. Southern and south eastern England will be mostly dry.

Tomorrow brings further spells of rain to Wales, Northern Ireland and much of western and northern England. Through the day the rain edges southeastwards, but it becomes patchier. It remains dry in central and south eastern England with a few bright spells. Exceptionally mild in the south with temperatures possibly reaching an exceptional 18C (64F).
Thursday looks showery in the north west. There could also be patchy spells of rain in the south eastern corner. Other parts of the UK probably remain dry. It stays mild but temperatures won't be as high as in recent days.
Friday should be mainly dry with sunny periods. Temperatures remain above the seasonal average.
During Saturday a band of cloud spreads southeastwards and it could bring a few spots of rain. Despite that there should be a lot of dry weather throughout the weekend. It remains quite mild.
