Much of the UK has an overcast day and in the far north west outbreaks of rain develop. Wet weather pushes southeastwards on Monday but Tuesday and Wednesday are looking mainly dry in the southern half of the UK. In the north it turns colder and later in the week the risk of snow is likely to increase.

Sunday starts overcast in most of the UK and there is drizzle in places. Through the day there will be a lot of cloud but some brighter spells intervals, particularly in the south west. In the far north west patchy outbreaks of rain develop.
Temperatures range from 7C (45F) in the north to 12C (54F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.
Tonight more persistent spells of rain push southeastwards across the northern half of the UK. Southern and central regions remain dry.

Tomorrow outbreaks of rain push southeastwards across much of the UK. In the south east it probably remains dry until the afternoon. Brighter conditions follow into Scotland. Temperatures will be similar to recent days.
Tuesday and Wednesday are looking mostly dry in the south. In the north and west outbreaks of rain are expected. It could also be become quite windy too. It could also turn colder in the north with an increasing risk of snow over high ground.
During the second half of the week rather unsettled weather is expected to continue. All areas are expected to have showers or longer spells of rain. There is an increasing risk of sleet or snow in the northern half of the UK, especially over high ground.
