Patchy outbreaks of rain affect the south today and there will be showers in the north west. Other parts of the UK have dry and bright weather. The changeable theme continues for the next few days, but computer models are suggesting the possibility of it turning more settled later in the week as high pressure build.

Sunday starts with light rain near to the south coast and showers in the north west. Elsewhere it is dry. Through the day thicker cloud brings drizzle to southern coastal counties. Heavy showers continue to affect western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Other areas will be mainly dry and there should be a decent amount of sunshine.
Temperatures range from 7C (45F) in the north to 11C (52F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.
Tonight showers the north west has further showers and later on a few may push into south western England and southern Wales. The rest of the country has a dry and chilly night with patchy frost in the north.

Tomorrow it stays dry in much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland. In Northern Ireland and western Scotland there will be heavy outbreaks of rain. At times damp conditions extend into north western England and western Wales. Windy in the north. Temperatures similar to today's.
Tuesday is looking dry in southern and central England. In Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England outbreaks of rain develop. They turn heavy in the north west. Very mild in England and Wales.
During Wednesday an area of rain clear southeastwards. Colder and showery conditions follow from the northwest. Over high ground in the north sleet or snow is possible.
Through the rest of the week the weather remains mixed. All regions can expect to see some rain but there are signs of it turning more settled across the southern half of the country as high pressure builds.
