Saturday starts with heavy outbreaks of rain in the north and west of the UK. Elsewhere it is drier. Through the day the band of wet and windy weather pushes southeastwards across all areas. The rain will be heavy at times but the main area of it probably doesn't reach the extreme south eastern corner until the evening. Brighter and showery conditions follow from the northwest. Windy with gales in coastal counties.

Temperatures range from 7C (45F) in the north to 16C (61F) in the south east. See the rain radar for the latest view.
