Dry in much of the UK today

There will be some light rain in places today but much of the UK has another dry day. Tomorrow the south and east remain dry but the north and west have outbreaks of rain. The rest of the week looks mixed with all parts of the UK having periods of wet weather. At times it becomes windy but temperatures will be higher than recently.

Sunday starts dry in most of the UK. Southern and central England as well as Wales should remain mainly dry with bright spells. In the north there will be more cloud and it brings some light rain. In the north west a few heavier bursts are expected and this afternoon they push eastwards.

Temperatures range from 8C (46F) to 12C (54F). See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight persistent outbreaks of rain push across Northern Ireland and Scotland. They could also affect parts on northern England but southern and central regions remain dry.

Tomorrow wet weather continues in Scotland and Northern Ireland for much of the day. The rain area could also extend into Wales and western England. Elsewhere it will be dry with some bright spells early on but it becomes mainly overcast in the afternoon.

Early on Tuesday a band of rain clears eastwards. Dry conditions are then likely in much of the UK but there could be further spells of rain in the north west. It will feel noticeably milder than recently.

During Wednesday wet weather affects much of the UK. In the afternoon it could become brighter in Wales and western England.

The rest of the week looks changeable. All regions have wet and windy spells but it will be drier at times, particularly in the south and east. Temperatures often close to the seasonal average.
