Showers continue today with most of them in central and northern regions. The mixed weather continues during the next few days with the the risk of rain in much of the UK. The south east probably remains mainly dry. By the middle of the week temperatures begin to rise and by Friday a scorching 35C (95F) is possible in the south.

Sunday starts with showers in the north and west. Elsewhere it is dry and bright. Through the day showers continue with most of them in central and northern regions. Some will be heavy and a few could push across southern counties at times. Cloud amounts vary but there will be a reasonable amount of sunshine.
Temperatures range from 15C (59F) in the north west to 24C (75F) in the south east. See the rain and lightning radar for the latest view.
Tonight showers fade away to leave clear spells. It will be quite cool in the northern half of the country.

Tomorrow it's a similar picture. Scattered showers develop with most of them in the north and east. Temperatures will be similar to today's and in sunny spells it will feel quite warm.
During Tuesday outbreaks of rain push across Northern Ireland and Scotland. The wet conditions may extend into Wales and central England too. The south remains dry with some bright periods.
Through Wednesday outbreaks of rain are expected to move across much of the UK. The south eastern corner could remain dry and very warm.
By Thursday the heat is expected to be building. Much of the country has a fine day and in the south temperatures could reach 33C (91F).
During the rest of the week forecast details are uncertain. Friday could see temperatures climbing to a scorching 35C (95F) in the south. Through the weekend somewhat cooler air may return from the west.
