Changeable outlook

During Thursday outbreaks of rain push westwards over southern and central counties. The north should be dry with sunny spells.

The unsettled theme continues on Friday. Scotland and Northern Ireland probably remain mainly dry. England and Wales have showers or longer outbreaks of rain. In the south the rain is likely to be heavy at times.

Through the weekend it turns a lot warmer with temperatures climbing into the mid 20Cs. There will be sunny periods but also a risk of thundery showers and the potential for downpours in places. Rainfall amounts probably vary a lot over relatively short distances.
