Cool with showery rain

The cool and changeable conditions continue today with showers or longer spells of rain in places. During the next couple of days temperatures begin to recover. However, it now looks as though the weather will remain quite unsettled through much of the coming week....READ IN FULL

Sunday starts wet in northern England. Elsewhere it is mainly dry. Through the day rain outbreaks of spread southwards across central and eastern areas. A few heavy bursts are likely, however they become increasingly patchy. Other areas have sunny spells and scattered showers.

It will be cool. Temperatures range from 13C (55F) in the wet areas to 18C (64F) in sunny spells. See the rain radar for the latest view.

During Tuesday outbreaks of rain are expected to push into the north west. Other parts of the country should have sunny spells and it will feel quite warm.

Wednesday and Thursday are looking mixed with a risk of showers or longer spells of rain pushing southwards across all regions. 

Through Friday and the weekend there is a still lot of uncertainty. The latest guidance suggests the risk of heavy showers in southern counties. The north may turn drier and warmer.
