Tuesday starts fine across the UK. Through the day there will be long sunny periods in most of the country. The only exception is the south west where thicker cloud could bring an odd shower. A brisk easterly wind means the warmest conditions will be sheltered parts of the south and west.

Temperatures range 11C (52F) to 19C (66F). See the rain radar for the latest view.

More mixed later this week?

The settled theme continues during Thursday and Friday. It will be warm during the days with temperatures reaching the low 20Cs quite widely. The nights remain chilly with a risk of ground frost in the north.

During the weekend there are indications of it becoming more changeable. Forecast details are uncertain but showers are likely to become an increasing risk. However, current guidance suggests there will continue to be some warm periods of sunshine too.
