Dry and warm periods

The warm weather continues in southern and central areas on Wednesday. An odd shower is possible but for many it should be dry with sunny periods. Across Scotland and Northern Ireland outbreaks of rain slowly spread southwards. Clearer and colder conditions follow behind them into the far north.

During Thursday and Friday the chance of rain increases. After a warm start in the south temperatures probably dip back towards the seasonal average.

The Easter weekend details are uncertain. The driest and warmest conditions are expected to be in the south. Rain is more likely in central and northern regions.
