Much of the UK has a dry day with the sunniest conditions in central and eastern regions. It will be warm and locally temperatures could reach 21C (70F). Through the coming week things are looking somewhat more changeable but dry and warm periods are expected, particularly in the south and east....READ IN FULL

Sunday starts dry across the UK. Through the day there will be sunny periods in central and eastern counties. During the afternoon cloud builds in the west and outbreaks of rain push into Northern Ireland. By this evening the wet weather reaches western Britain.
Temperatures range from 16C (61F) to 19C (66F) in much of the country but it will be a little cooler in the north west. A warm 21C (70F) could be reached in central or eastern England. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight outbreaks of ran move eastwards and are followed by clearer conditions. By the end of the night they will be affecting central and eastern England. It will be windy in the north.

Tomorrow rain clears from the east to leave a mix of sunny spells and showers. Temperatures will be lower than today's but it still feels pleasant in the afternoon sunshine.

High pressure centred over the continent brings dry and bright weather on Tuesday. It will feel warm in southern and central regions. In the north it will be quite windy.
The fine weather continues in southern and central area on Wednesday. In the north patchy outbreaks of rain slowly spread southwards. England and Wales have a warm day.
The rest of the week is looking a little more mixed with a risk of some rain in parts of the country. However, there should be a good deal of dry and sunny periods, particularly across the southern half of the country. It remains warm and at times temperatures could approach 21C (70F).
