Much of the UK has a dry day with the sunniest conditions in the south. Tomorrow it warms up further and temperatures could reach 21C (70F) in one or two spots. Next week things are looking more changeable but further dry and warm periods are expected, particularly in the south east....READ IN FULL

Saturday starts with patchy outbreaks of rain in central and western Scotland. Elsewhere it is mainly dry. Through the day central and northern regions have quite a lot of cloud which could be thick enough to bring an odd spot of rain. Despite that some sunny spells are likely to develop. In the south sunny periods develop more widely and it will feel pleasantly warm.
Temperatures range from 8C (46F) in the north to 16C (61F) in the south. See the rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight it will be mainly dry with variable amounts of cloud. In Northern Ireland and western Britain winds strengthen later.

Coronavirus impact on TWO
Tomorrow morning much of the country has sunny periods. During the afternoon cloud builds in the west and outbreaks of rain push into Northern Ireland. By the early evening the wet weather reaches western Britain. Elsewhere it remains dry with the best of the sunshine in the east. It will be warm with temperatures ranging between 16C (61F) and 19C (66F) across England and Wales. Locally 21C (70F) could be reached.

On Monday outbreaks of rain clear eastwards to leave a mix of sunny spells and showers. High pressure will be building back so Tuesday should be fine and quite warm. The dry weather continues in central and eastern regions on Wednesday but outbreaks of rain may return in the north west.
The rest of the week is looking mixed with showers or longer spells of rain. The driest, brightest and warmest conditions are likely to be in the south east.
