High pressure in control

Sunday should be the first warm day of the year. Locally temperatures could reach 21C (70F) and values widely range between 16C (61F) and 19C (66F) across England and Wales. During the the second half of the day outbreaks of rain push into Northern Ireland and possibly western Britain. Elsewhere it remains dry with the best of the sunshine in the east.

On Monday outbreaks of rain clear eastwards to leave a mix of sunny spells and showers. High pressure will be building back so Tuesday should be fine. The dry weather continues in central and eastern regions on Wednesday but outbreaks of rain may return in the west. The rest of the week is looking mixed with showers or longer spells of rain.
