High pressure in control

This weekend high pressure migrates eastwards and becomes centred over the continent. That leads to a south or southwesterly flow developing. Saturday will be mainly dry with temperatures similar to recent days. By Sunday it turns a lot warmer and locally 21C (70F) could be reached with values widely ranging between 16C (61F) and 19C (66F). During the the second half of the day outbreaks of rain are likely to push into Northern Ireland and western Britain.

Through Monday and Tuesday a band of rain pushes southeastwards. The rest of the week is looking mixed with the driest and brightest weather in the south and east. At times it could be warm in central and eastern England.
