Changeable outlook

During Saturday night and Sunday morning the wet weather clears southeastwards. It is followed by showery conditions and in the north it remains cold enough for snow over the hills. It will be windy.

Monday should be dry in central and eastern Britain. In the west cloud builds and outbreaks of rain develop. They become heavy and over high ground in Scotland fall as sleet or snow.

The rest of next week is looking changeable. All regions could have showers or longer spells of rain at times. Temperatures should be close to the seasonal average generally, but it could be colder at times, particularly in the north.
