Chillier next week

Wet and windy weather moves across all regions on Monday. Brighter conditions follow from the west but showery periods of rain and hill snow could continue in the north. Gales or severe gales are possible in much of the country.

Tuesday will be chilly with a mix of sunny spells and showers. The showers will be wintry to low levels in the north and perhaps over high ground in parts of the south.

The rest of next week is looking unsettled. At times it could turn cold enough for sleet or snow, particularly in the north.
