Winter 2019/20 forecast
Tomorrow cloud and rain spread eastwards across England and Wales. Over high ground in the north sleet or snow is possible. Clearer conditions follow from the west but a few showers develop. Scotland and Northern Ireland remain brighter and showery throughout the day.
The rest of the week looks mixed. All areas have further wet spells but they will be the most frequent in the north and west. High pressure could bring drier periods at times to southern counties. It becomes mild in the south but it could remain chilly in the north.
At this stage next week is also looking unsettled. Temperatures fluctuate with colder interludes more likely in the northern half of the UK.
