Mixed next week

The weekend is looking mixed. All areas have wet and windy spells. It will be mild in the south but temperatures in the north are likely to be closer to the seasonal average. Over the Scottish mountains sleet or snow is possible.

Early next week the unsettled theme is expected to continue and it turns cooler. Later on high pressure probably builds from the south and brings drier conditions to much of the country. It could remain more changeable in the north west.
