Gradual changes on the way

Through Wednesday and Thursday the cloudier conditions gradually push southwards. Nighttime frosts become more localised in the south. Most areas have a lot of dry weather but there will be drizzle and light rain at times, particularly in the north west.

Through Friday and the weekend high pressure declines. That leads to more changeable weather returning as Atlantic disturbances pushes southwards. All regions can expect some rain. In the north it may turn colder and there is an increasing risk of snow over higher ground.
