Winter 2019/20 forecast
Tomorrow it should be dry across virtually all of the UK, although in the far north west some light spells of rain could push in. It will be quite cold, particularly in areas where fog is slow to lift. It is possible that a few locations could record an ice day due to the fog: one where temperatures fail to climb above 0C (32F).

Monday starts with a widespread frost in southern and central regions. Through the rest of the day sunny spells develop but freezing fog could be slow to lift. The north is expected to be cloudier and milder with drizzle or light rain in the west.
During Tuesday cloud and drizzle pushes southwards. The north will be mild but in the south it remains chilly.
By Wednesday cloudier and milder conditions probably push southwards. The greatest risk of rain is in the north west.
Through the second half of the week high pressure declines. That leads to more changeable weather returning as Atlantic disturbances begin pushing southwards.
