Stormy early next week

During Tuesday another batch of wet and windy weather pushes northeastwards. Over high ground in the north sleet or snow is possible. There is a risk of gales or severe gales.

Unsettled weather continues for much of the week. Temperatures fluctuate and in the north it could be cold enough for snow at times, especially over high ground. By the end of the period it may be turning drier as high pressure builds from the south.
