Mixed and mild outlook

During Tuesday outbreaks of rain affect northern and western areas. The south and east should be mainly dry. Temperatures could reach a very mild 14C (57F) in Northern Ireland and western Britain. Locally in eastern Scotland or north eastern England 17C (63F) is possible due to a foehn effect.

A band of rain pushes southeastwards on Wednesday. Cooler and showery conditions follow into central and northern areas but it remains wet in the south into the evening.

The rest of the week looks changeable. Wet and windy spells are expected in all regions and at times it could become very windy.
